The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with ITPO, is hosting a three days “22nd India International Security Expo 2019” on 3-5 October 2019 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
IISE 2019, in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of Made in India – For the World”, aims to create a powerful roadmap leading to Indian Defence becoming self-reliant and scaling the export trajectory of both services and products in the Defence vis-à-vis the imports. The event in its preceding years has established a benchmark and set up a legacy in terms of participation of high profile stakeholders from across the world, policy makers, domestic and international exhibitors and several relevant conference themes deliberated over by experts from all over.
To further scale the gamut of the event this year, Lt Gen Subrata Saha PVSM UYSM YSM VSM** (Retd), Member National Security Advisory Board (NSAB) is steering the event as the Chief Strategist to this niche Expo.
This event would be an extremely apt and strong business platform offering tremendous opportunity for forging partnerships, joint ventures, B2Bs, showcase of capabilities, products and services in Defence and Home Land Security by Indian as well as foreign companies and much more. DEFEXPO INDIA 2020 to be held from 05-08 Feb 2020 at Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, India.
The 11th biennial edition of DefExpo India-2020 is scheduled to be held from 05-08 Feb 2020 at Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. The Indian Defence industry will showcase its capabilities during the event. Main theme of the DefExpo India-2020 will be ‘India: The Emerging Defence Manufacturing Hub’ and focus will be on ‘Digital Transformation of Defence’.
- The show would facilitate Business-to-Business (B2B) interaction with visiting foreign delegations and Government-to-Government (G2G) meetings and signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs). The exhibition will also highlight recent initiatives by the Government of India for investment in the defence sector and would act as a platform for alliances and joint ventures in the defence industry.
- The state of Uttar Pradesh has a strong defence industrial infrastructure. It has four units of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd at Lucknow, Kanpur, Korwa and Naini (Prayagraj), nine Ordnance factory units, including Kanpur, Korwa, Shahjahanpur, Firozabad and one unit of Bharat Electronics Limitedat Ghaziabad. One of the two Defence Industrial Corridors (DICs) of India is also planned in Uttar Pradesh.
- The DefExpo India-2020 will provide an opportunity to the major foreign Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to collaborate with the Indian defence industry and help promote ‘Make in India’ initiative through co-development, co-production, Joint Venture of Transfer of Technology for defence equipment and systems for defence forces of India and exports.
- The DefExpo India-2020 would provide a unique platform for Defence industry OEMs, exhibitors and private industry to display their latest innovations and capabilities.
