The Government of India has launched an online portal: MADAD ('MEA' in Aid of Diaspora in Distress), a Consular Grievances Monitoring System. Consular grievances regarding compensation, court cases, domestic helps, imprisonment abroad, transportation of mortal remains, repatriation, salary dues, tracing the whereabouts can be lodged under this portal. Grievances relating to visa and passport, travel documents, attestation of documents will not be entertained in this portal.
